Celtic has police action Amsterdam investigated
Injured fans of Scottish club Celtic are pressing charges against the Dutch police for their harsh action prior to the Champions League match between Ajax and Celtic. Celtic club management takes their supporters' complaints seriously and has started an investigation into the violent clash on Dam Square.
The Scottish top club has engaged the services of a Dutch lawyer to investigate complaints from duped fans and take legal action if necessary. Scottish politicians also want an explanation.
EenVandaag has a report from Glasgow, Celtic's home town. We talk to James O'Hagan, an elderly supporter, who was run over by a police van. We also meet with Jeanette Findlay, spokesperson for the Celtic Trust. She is organising a meeting at St Mary's Church in Glasgow to hear the injured supporters' stories. We also spoke to sports writer Hugh MacDonald of the Scottish paper The Herald.
